In 2002, I was so reluctant to watch the film The Pianist, I thought It was another musical movie like the sound of music. But on the 75th Academy Awards this movie took the finest citations, including Best Actor to Andrian Brody. So after 3 years I watched this movie to answer my curiosity and yes, it's a very wonderful movie -- It is indeed a Best Picture movie. The Pianist is a story of Jewish-Polish musician Władysław Szpilman, who fought his way to survive in the outskirts of the extermination facility and the hard labor during World War II.
